The Apartment Association of New Mexico is a Non-Profit Trade Organization that collectively represents Owners of Apartment Communities and other Residential Rental Real Estate throughout New Mexico. AANM provides representation in the Legislative and Regulatory arenas for the industry as a whole. AANM also provides Educational Programming, Market Research, Standardized Forms and Operational Support.

AANM Associate Members are vendors of Products and Services to the Rental Housing Industry. Associate Members have unparallel access to their customers by taking advantage of AANM’s networking opportunities by participating in events, meetings & committees.

Fair Housing for Maintenance

This course will cover relevant laws, the meaning of discrimination, whom is covered by Fair Housing regulations, the kinds of discrimination that are prohibited, FHA exemptions, reasonable accommodation, accessibility issues, enforcement, the local perspective and damages.  This class will be offered as an all-day class for Property Managers (taught in English), and a half-day class for Maintenance (taught in Spanish).

Surviving Your Day in Court

Fair Housing Made EZ

This 4-hour seminar is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the fair housing laws. Learn the importance of providing equal professional service to everyone, and ways to avoid inadvertent, unintentional discriminatory conduct. Examine the latest HUD interpretations regarding handicap discrimination and fair housing advertising. Course includes the textbook Fair Housing authored by Marcia Russell, DREI.  This course offers 4 hours NMREC.
